This bicycle bag can be used for riding on level surfaces, but beware of what you put in it. Some food or supplements would be ok, but I would not trust it with your keys or iphone simply because it uses two small pieces of Velcro tape as a locking mechanism to protect your goods. No way would I trust this easily compromised enclosure with my keys or my iphone - they could be gone with one rough ride! I would prefer to have a more trustworthy sealing device on the bag such as a zipper,or something else that is more secure than two small pieces of Velcro tape.

I picked this up to carry my cell phone, wallet and a couple of Powerbars during longer rides. It fits nicely on the top bar are is easily accessible during the ride (unlike a seat bag).
Quality seems good and the included rain cover is a nice touch.
