I ordered this to replace a competitor's product as a way to have my cell phone accessible while riding (Yes, I stop if I'm taking a call, but I need to be able to get to it promptly once stopped). The older item had a 'clamp' type of arrangement, with neoprene sides and a spring clamp. I had several problems with the phone slipping out of the holder, and major durability problems.This item is a relatively conventional ballistic nylon case which holds the cell phone in 4 directions, using elastic material. One side has a hook and loop fastener for insertion and removal of the phone. The phone is covered on the top, so you can't see much if any of the screen. The phone area is very flexible for a broad variety of phones. I have a Samsung Intercept, which is a relatively small phone, but it easily handles my wife's LG Rumor Touch, and would just as easily handle most of my older phones.
