I'm buying a second set now... probably more than just one.My son specifically asked for another set of these. He has a mountain bike (with PowerGrips - the kind of thing where you insert your foot from the outside rear, then twist to "tighten" down), recumbent (with these on it), and road bike (had these on it until recently). I just got a tandem for us to ride together, and he requested these for it. He's 12, and certainly not "pedaling in circles". That is, he's not pulling up along the back of his pedal stroke, or back along the bottom. The primary purpose of any kind of toe clip device for him is to prevent him from putting his feet too far forward on the pedals, thereby having them slip off (and have his legs subsequently whacked by the pedals). These are easy for him to flip the pedals and slip his toes into - perfect for the purpose at hand. |
