They fit in pretty tightly, even though they are smaller than the average cocker. One weighs 20 lbs and the other 24 and they can lie side by side but there is no room between. They are able to get up and turn around and sometimes ride looking out in opposite directions. You will not be able to pull this in soft sand. You might be able to use it on hard sand but I have never tried it. It does add appreciable weight to your ride...you know it is back there. Of course, this is relative to the weight of your pet. If you buy this, put a towel under it when assembling so you do not damage the nylon cover on rough surfaces. This is very expensive but since it is designed for animals, it is what you need. They get too tired walking down to the Chicago lakefront, so we purchased this. After my husband assembled it, they both jumped right in! They were a little apprehensive about the movement, but have since gotten used to it. The wheels are solid and sturdy, as is the frame, making for a smooth ride for them behind our bikes. The front wheel unlike the two rear wheels is just plastic. This makes for an extremely rough and noisy ride. Why they didn't use an inflatable tire on the front is beyond me. The larger size, Croozer Dog, does have all inflatable tires.The stroller handle is very low. I'm not that tall (5' 10") but I had to bend over to push the stroller. Also while the floor space is adequate for a dog of 25 lbs, the head room isn't. My dog could not sit up or get on all fours. So if you have a very short dog and plan to just pull behind a bike it may work. Otherwise pass. |
