The bag is rigid enough to maintain its shape while still allowing some expansion, has small leather bushings to protect bike frame from the straps, and a sleek design that's ideal for road bikes. In addition to the main compartment there is a small outer "slot" for additional items (such as cash, a folded que sheet, etc.), as well as a miniature mesh pocket on the rider-facing end, which seems ideal for small tubes of sunscreen. I suppose there might be a better bags out there, but I have yet to find them. While I don't mind putting a few things in my shirt pockets, it's nice to have stuff in a pouch in front of you, and so you can hear your phone if it's going off.
