I use it with a chain I bought to lock up my bike. I lock my bike up in Manhattan every day, outside, and it hasn't been stolen. I've even left it overnight, with no problems. I wish it came with more spare keys, it only comes with one spare, but other than that, it's worked well for me. The covering around the metal part of the lock is nice, it protects the bike.

After about a year the whole barrel came out when I pulled the key out. Not good! I had to stop using it, as any thief could just pull the barrel out. It worked well while it lasted tho.

This lock is great and seems solid and a good deal. I wanted an all black one but they showed out of stock so I bought this yellow contractor one. The all black one showed up at my door. I'm thrilled but if I were to have wanted the item as it was described I would not be happy. This is the first time I've had an item that shipped by Amazon be not as described. Not sure what went wrong but in this rare instance getting the wrong item made the customer happier. They need to fix the glitch though.
